Our story
Sri Lanka didn't need another tour operator. It needed a local one.
Ceylon Experience began in 2022 because we kept meeting travellers who'd seen Sri Lanka's surface and missed what makes it extraordinary.
We're a small team from here. We know the temples that are quiet at dawn, the fishermen who'll show you their catch, and how to see wildlife without crowding it. That knowledge is what we build every journey from. Not templates. Not packages.
Today we design and run tailor-made journeys for travellers from the UK, Europe, Russia, India and China, and for the overseas agencies who send them.
What we believe
Three things we don't compromise on
- Sri Lanka is personal to us
We aren't intermediaries reselling someone else's Sri Lanka. This is our home. Every recommendation is somewhere we've been and trust. If we wouldn't take our own family there, we won't take you there.
- No two journeys should look the same
A couple on honeymoon. A family with three children. A solo traveller who wants to get lost on purpose. Three completely different Sri Lankas. We listen first, then plan around you.
- Travel should leave a place better
Responsible tourism isn't a marketing line for us. We work with local businesses who share our values, pay our guides and suppliers fairly, and 1% of every booking goes to The Hope.
