Who we are

Ceylon Experience Holidays (Pvt) Ltd (Ceylon Experience), 263E, Welivita Road, Kaduwela, Sri Lanka, is responsible for the personal information you give us. Contact: info@theceylonexperience.com.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry: your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, country, travel dates, number of travellers and anything you write in your message. We also note which page you sent it from and, if you arrived from an ad or link, its campaign tag.

When you book: the names, passport details and any dietary or health needs of each traveller, which hotels and authorities need to host you safely.

Why we use it

To reply to you, plan and quote your trip, make your bookings and look after you while you travel. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, performing that contract, and our legitimate interest in running and improving our service.

We don't send marketing emails unless you ask us to, and we never sell your information.

Who we share it with

Only the hotels, drivers, guides and activity providers on your itinerary, and only what they need. Our website host and email provider process enquiries on our behalf. Your information is held in Sri Lanka and by these providers, who protect it with appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't become bookings: up to 24 months. Booking records: as long as tax and accounting laws require, then deleted.

Cookies

This website doesn't use cookies, tracking pixels or analytics that identify you.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by emailing info@theceylonexperience.com. If you're in the UK or EU and unhappy with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
