— The Journey
What these
five days
look like
This five-day journey takes you through Sri Lanka’s most dramatic contrasts, and it earns every one of them. You’ll begin in sacred Kandy, ascend to the mist-wrapped tea country of Nuwara Eliya, descend to the golden shores of Bentota, and finish in the layered energy of Colombo. One extra day over the four-day tour, and it makes all the difference. More time to breathe, more room to discover, more of Sri Lanka to carry home with you.

Sacred Kandy — The Hill Capital
Your journey begins the moment you land. Our guide is at arrivals ready to welcome you, no waiting, no confusion. The drive to Kandy winds through some of Sri Lanka’s most beautiful countryside: hills draped in green, spice plantations, small waterfalls catching the light. An arrival that already feels like the start of something.
Kandy is Sri Lanka’s spiritual heart. You’ll visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of the most sacred sites in the Buddhist world, and explore the impeccably manicured Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. En route, don’t miss Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where Sri Lanka’s most famous residents gather at the river. The evening closes with a traditional Kandyan cultural dance and fire-walking ceremony, an experience that stays with you long after the flames go out.

Little England — The Roof of Sri Lanka
The drive from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya is one of the most visually extraordinary journeys in Sri Lanka, a slow climb through an ever changing landscape of forest, waterfall, and tea covered hillside. You’ll stop at the Ramboda Waterfalls, one of the island’s most dramatic cascades, and visit a working tea plantation and factory where you’ll see how Ceylon tea goes from leaf to cup, and taste some that will ruin supermarket tea for good.
Nuwara Eliya earns its nickname “Little England” through its cool climate, English-style architecture, and a certain unhurried gentility that sets it apart from everywhere else on the island. The tour of the town includes the serene Lake Gregory, the Hakgala Botanical Gardens, and the remarkable Seetha Amman Temple, set against the hillside. For the adventurous, World’s End in Horton Plains offers a sheer cliff with views that earn the name.

Nuwara Eliya → Bentota
Kithulgala & the Golden Shore
The descent from the hills towards the coast is a journey through Sri Lanka’s green interior, and a chance for something exhilarating before the beach. En route, Kithulgala offers white-water rafting on the Kelani River, Grade 2 and 3 rapids through lush rainforest, genuinely thrilling without being reckless. It’s one of the island’s best adventure experiences and a perfect counterpoint to yesterday’s pastoral calm.
Bentota is a different Sri Lanka entirely, warm, golden, unhurried. The afternoon is yours. The Indian Ocean doesn’t rush anyone. Optional water sports, jet skiing, windsurfing, kayaking, are available for those who want the energy, or simply walk the beach until dinner. As the sun lowers, a Madu River boat ride winds through 60 islands of mangrove, Sri Lanka’s extraordinary inland water world at its most tranquil.

Colombo — The City That Never Sits Still
Colombo rewards people who give it a chance. Louder than the rest of Sri Lanka, more layered, full of contrast, colonial buildings beside glass towers, street carts beside rooftop restaurants, Buddhist temples beside mosques and kovils, all within a few streets of each other. Your guide knows how to show you both sides of it.
The day covers the city’s landmark spiritual and civic spaces, the serene Gangaramaya Temple, the graceful sweep of Independence Square, the striking Red Mosque, and opens into the afternoon for Colombo’s markets: the brilliant chaos of Pettah for the real local flavour, or the boutique lanes of Fort for handcrafted pieces worth taking home. Dinner tonight at a local restaurant, Sri Lankan cuisine done properly.

The Last Morning — Until Next Time
The final day belongs to you. Depending on your flight time, there’s time for one last walk, one last Sri Lankan breakfast, one last view of the Indian Ocean horizon before your driver takes you back to the airport. Our team will have your transfer perfectly timed, no rush, no confusion at the end any more than there was at the beginning.
Five days in Sri Lanka. Most people who come for five leave thinking about how to fit in eight. That’s not a coincidence.
